Hello, I'm Kevin Zacher
Hello, I'm Kevin and this is my son Julian. He's probably looking at a bird or a lizard or maybe his sisters. Mom is occupied making yummy meals, or off being a wardrobe stylist or designing some interiors for fancy people.
These are my people. ;)
Here's a bit about me. Some have said that my snowboard imagery shooting for Burton Snowboards and Transworld Snowboarding Magazine served as the commentary for the culture and that my work captured the spirit of snowboarding. I'm cool (I'll claim it) with that seeing as skateboarding and snowboarding were my life growing up. Some might refer to me as a man-child or the Dude. In Phoenix, Arizona where I grew up they call me Jesus - for years I had long hair and no one in Arizona has long hair - so they think it's funny. I've narrowly escaped helicopter crashes in New Zealand, Chile and Russia and one time my snowmobile decided to collapse an overhanging cornice and man + 800 lbs of machine went tumbling down. That was the day I decided to move to LA and become a commercial photographer! I learned patience and a healthy work ethic from my Dad. He also gave me my first camera - a Pentax K1000 with a 50mm lens. SO cliché but hey it's true. I'm kinda a mammas boy. The scar on my arm is not from a shark attack, knife fight or a burn, so if you want the real story be prepared to be underwhelmed. I made a living in high school building skateboard ramps. Outside of expenses for the wood and screws payment was made in the fact that I could skate the ramp WHENEVER THE HELL I WANTED TO. I have zero tendon and ligament in my right thumb from said skateboarding at said ramps I built.
I am at this point an experience lifestyle advertising + editorial photographer. I have been around a while. But I feel like I am just getting started. My goal is to always impress my clients with a solid work ethic, bring something new to the table each and every time and to continue to evolve my work. I like to think of my work as energetic, realistic even when it's not, cinematic, journalistic and rich. I like to think I am a good collaborator. I like to shoot a lot and give you more than you might have even expected. I like pleasing you, call it my ego, call it insecurity. Whatever it is it's served me well.
There's the pitch. I hope you enjoyed it. I tried to make it entertaining. After all life should be fun. It's a short run at it.
And now to really impress you here's a list of the cool agencies and brands I've had the pleasure working with! I appreciate each everyone one of them!!
